It's Holy Week, it is Good Friday and people seemed not to care - sorta guilty. I finished my Elementary and High school in a Catholic school but apparently, i don't remember what or what happens(in the church calendar) during Good Friday, Black Saturday and Easter Sunday, maybe - I am so sorry, alright. I just know that we do this things such as fasting and just being solemn the whole week. There are some other religious activities too, that i just did once, in the past years; Alay Lakad and Visita Iglesia.
As i am writing this blog, i am sitting next to my 9 year old brother and 11 year old cousin. I'll tell you what they're doing at almost 2 in the morning at Good Friday... watching I Am Number Four. I am like, oh my god, kids these days. They're so young, ignorant/innocent. Most kids today, esp of late 90's onwards, they are unaware of the value and meaning of this week - well, i am not saying that i'm not one of them, partly guilty.
I don't know whether the fast pace of this generation is good for us or not (i feel like i'm writing a school report paper.) Well, i just hope that we, plus the kids, will learn from the wrong idea that Holy Week is for having a nice vacation, a weekend getaway or what, 'cause apparently it appears to be like that in the past years and we are getting used to it year by year, and the depth of this holy occasion is slowly fading and ignored - sad but true. I just hope that this will not go on through the next yearsssssss.
I am not that religious, but i know that God is always with us. He's the reason for everything. Thank You <3
